Our client, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking a Transaction Taxes Director to join its dynamic team in the Thames Valley region. This firm provides expert advice and tailored solutions to help businesses navigate an ever-evolving economic landscape.

The national transaction tax team comprises over 40 professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality services to private equity firms and acquisitive corporates across multiple sectors. With a clear growth strategy in place, the incoming Director will play a pivotal role in driving expansion and enhancing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax due diligence and structuring projects on both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Collaborate with specialists in VAT, employment taxes, and transaction services to deliver integrated solutions.
- Communicate complex tax issues clearly to stakeholders, combining technical precision with commercial insight.
- Build and expand a network of internal and external contacts, contributing to business development and cross-selling initiatives.
- Manage project risks and ensure high standards of client service, including proactive communication and progress updates.
- Provide input into legal documentation and financial forecast models.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Strengthen relationships with key transaction clients, particularly within private equity.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including post-deal advisory and exit readiness planning.
Candidate Profile
- Deep, current knowledge of taxation and the ability to address complex transaction-related issues.
- Proven experience in transaction tax services.
- Strong project and people management skills.
- Ability to cultivate client relationships and identify opportunities for service expansion.
- Experience engaging with senior client stakeholders and legal advisors.
- CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
