Working closely with the ESG and climate reporting director you will be at the forefront of developing new audit methodology in the exciting and emerging area of climate reporting.

The role will involve collaborating with other members of the firms audit advisory and financial reporting advisory teams to co-ordinate the development and enhancement of their audit approach in relation to ESG matters. 

As experts on a wide number of issues, our clients technical practice provides support to their client-facing specialists in audit/assurance and other business streams.  

From being on-hand to help with complex enquiries, to implementing and advising on policy and processes, the technical team are the people tasked with finding solutions to some of their teams’ most complex technical issues.

As part of this supportive and knowledgeable team, you’ll have a chance to use and develop your technical skills and experience, find solutions to technical queries and contribute daily to the firm’s commitment to deliver high quality output.

As part of the audit advisory team, providing advice and ensuring compliance with ISAs and the firm’s audit methodology, this role will have a focus on developing new methodology in the exciting and emerging area of climate reporting and the nature and extent of the assurance services the firm offers.

Role includes

-Working closely with other members of their Audit Advisory and Financial Reporting Advisory teams to co-ordinate the development and enhancement of their audit approach in relation to ESG matters. 

-Developing a network of specialists within local and sector teams
-Writing and updating related guidance material
-Development and delivery of ESG audit methodology training content
-Provision of support for the development and delivery of ‘group learning sessions’ which are led by partners and managers in the audit stream
-Carrying out file reviews for the purposes of internal quality control or testing and to check implementation and application of requirements

Audit Reporting
The successful candidate will work with their audit reporting team to consider:
-The nature of services the firm offers in this area and how this interacts with the audit service offering
-Working with non-audit service lines to establish appropriate terms of engagement
-Developing policy and guidance as concerns reporting on ESG

Requirements

ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification and audit managerial experienece with strong interest in ESG/Climate Reporting.
Srtong Knowledge of UK auditing standards
