As a Director within the Transaction Services team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the practice. You will lead complex diligence engagements for corporate buyers, strategic acquirers, private equity investors and vendors, with a particular focus on Life Sciences and Health, covering pharmaceuticals, biotech, med‑tech, digital health, healthcare services and related subsectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver end‑to‑end financial due diligence engagements, providing clear, commercially grounded insights that support investment decisions, valuations and deal structuring.
  • Develop sector‑specific diligence frameworks tailored to Life Sciences and Health, including revenue recognition models, R&D capitalisation, regulatory impacts, clinical pipeline considerations, and reimbursement dynamics.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships with C‑suite leaders, founders, investors and deal teams.
  • Drive business development, identifying new opportunities, shaping proposals, leading pitches and expanding the firm’s presence in the Life Sciences and Health transaction market.
  • Oversee project teams, ensuring high‑quality output, efficient workflow management and strong coaching for Managers, Assistant Managers and Associates.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional specialists, including valuation, tax, regulatory, operational due diligence and data analytics teams, to deliver integrated transaction support.
  • Provide thought leadership, contributing to sector insights, market commentary, client briefings and internal knowledge development.
  • Support capital markets engagements, including reporting accountant work where required, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Champion continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, data‑driven methodologies and innovative approaches to enhance delivery and client experience.

You’ll be someone with:

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification
  • Significant experience within a transaction services environment.
  • A proven track record of winning work and building long‑term client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team‑management experience.
  • Excellent technical skills across MS Office; familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Deep interest or experience in Life Sciences and Health transactions (highly desirable).
  • For capital markets work, a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and reporting requirements.
