We are helping hire experienced external auditors (most likely currently working from a top 20 firm in the UK), for their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices at both senior managerial and manager level. The roles involve the management of a corporate portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
About the role…
- Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of corporate audit clients
- Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales
- Ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required.
- Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Support Partners with the implementation and communication of any new business.
- Help recruit, retain, develop and motivate staff
- Work as part of management team with other audit managers and SM’s within the business group (e.g. resource planning, merit rate meetings and efficiency gains)
- Participate in office marketing events, keep abreast of the wide range of service the firm.
- Act as a role model for trainees and executives.
About you…
Minimum 5 years audit experience gained within a top 20 firm and be currently working as a audit manager or senior manager.
- ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
- Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
- Project Management experience.
