How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting to the lead partners and working closely with Directors and Senior Managers, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high‑quality corporate reporting support. Responsibilities include:
- Technical review of a personal portfolio of annual reports for publicly traded and other higher‑risk entities, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, company legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Providing clear, practical solutions to complex financial reporting queries and acting as a consultant to more junior team members.
- Preparing, reviewing and presenting financial reporting training, updates and seminars internally and externally.
- Developing tools and guidance to support partners and staff in applying financial reporting requirements.
- Writing articles and publications on financial reporting matters for internal and external audiences.
- Supporting responses to external consultations on legal, regulatory and financial reporting developments.
- Monitoring emerging developments in financial reporting and leading action plans in your specialist areas.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the Corporate Reporting Team and wider technical groups.
What You’ll Bring
You will be someone who combines strong technical capability with clear communication and a collaborative mindset:
- ACA/ICAS qualified (or overseas equivalent).
- Experience as a Senior Manager in a technical team, or equivalent experience in technical financial reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- IFRSs, UK GAAP and the Companies Act
- Annual report content requirements for Main Market and AIM‑listed companies
- The wider financial reporting environment, including regulatory developments and emerging areas
- Practical experience reviewing annual reports of listed companies.
- Proven ability to apply technical knowledge to complex issues and deliver practical, supportable solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Ability to build productive relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and keen to innovate and enhance the service delivered to internal customers.
