Our client , a leading global advisory firm is seeking an accomplished Financial Restructuring Partner to strengthen its London practice, with a dedicated focus on private credit, special situations, and private equity-backed portfolios. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded restructuring specialist with deep relationships across lenders, credit funds, and PE sponsors.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and originate restructuring mandates across private credit, special situations, and PE-backed businesses, including complex multi-stakeholder situations.
- Advise lenders, credit funds, and sponsors on financial restructuring, liquidity solutions, covenant resets, contingency planning, and turnaround strategies.
- Drive business development, leveraging an established network within private credit and PE to generate new opportunities and deepen existing relationships.
- Oversee execution of restructuring engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery across financial analysis, options reviews, independent business reviews (IBRs), and stakeholder negotiations.
- Collaborate with global colleagues across restructuring, valuations, transactions, and performance improvement to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Directors, VPs, and Associates, supporting talent development and succession planning.
- Represent the firm externally, contributing to market commentary, thought leadership, and industry events within the private capital ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience at Partner or Partner-track level within restructuring advisory, special situations, or a related financial services environment.
- A strong network across private credit funds, alternative lenders, and private equity sponsors, with a demonstrable track record of revenue generation.
- Deep technical expertise in financial restructuring, including IBRs, cash flow analysis, refinancing, covenant advisory, and distressed situations.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to originate, scope, and deliver complex engagements.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong market presence and credibility within the private capital community.
- ACA/ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not essential for exceptional candidates.
