Our client’s Audit Quality & Regulatory Support team help manage and monitor the firm’s multiple overseas audit registrations, working with a number of external audit regulators and other regulatory and legal bodies in the increasingly complex global environment.  The SM will work with and report to the firm’s Audit Compliance Principal.

As part of this knowledgeable and supportive team you will help ensure the firm remains compliant with its on-going obligations with overseas regulators, manage the process where new registrations have been approved and engage with senior individuals across the firm to resolve technical queries around overseas regulatory requirements.


  • Seeking to hire a senior manager to join the Audit Quality & Regulatory Support Team supporting the audit practice. 
  • The successful candidate will have a keen interest in regulatory requirements as thy pertain to audit firms, a keen attention to detail and be confident engaging with multiple senior stakeholders. 
  • Previous experience either with a regulatory or through similar roles at another accountancy firm is desirable but not essential. 
  • The role will be based in London although we operate an agile working approach.


As part of the Audit Quality & Regulatory Support team you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day management of the firm’s overseas audit registrations, ensuring ongoing compliance with international standards and regulations. 
  • Completing annual returns, responding to regulatory queries and assisting other territories within the firmsnetwork with registration requirements in the UK. 
  • Registering the UK firm with any new overseas audit registrations, which includes working with our Quality, Risk and Legal teams and other external stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for issuing guidance and undertaking training sessions for our partners and staff members. 
  • Representing the UK firm on a cross territory working group – the Audit Firm Registration (AFREG) group.
  • Liaising with a number of senior personnel within the firm and within the wider  international network and responding to queries around registrations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and technical knowledge

  • Existing experience of the audit firm regulatory requirements in the UK or overseas jurisdictions is useful but not essential.


  • You will be expected to operate with the highest integrity given the sensitive nature of much that you will be dealing with.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and have an interest in regulations, specifically in respect of audit and capital markets.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Willingness to work as part of a close-knit team and as a self-directed individual.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to create productive relationships across the firm and network and to influence other senior professionals.
  • A conscientious and thorough approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work.
  • An ability to develop further knowledge of rules, policies and procedures.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to seek new ways of improving our internal controls.
