The Opportunity

Quality underpins everything the firm does. The Regulatory Support Team ensures that audit work meets the highest standards and that the firm responds effectively to regulatory expectations.

As a Director, you’ll work proactively, manage your own portfolio of responsibilities, and collaborate closely with senior leadership. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, transparent reporting to stakeholders and supporting the firm’s long‑term quality agenda.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the firm’s responses to external regulatory reviews, including AQR, QAD and PCAOB inspections.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory matters, ensuring high‑quality written and verbal responses to UK regulators.
  • Advise audit teams on regulatory expectations, quality standards and best practice.
  • Support the development and implementation of audit quality initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to firmwide knowledge sharing, training and technical development.

Requirements

You will bring:

  • Experience working with or for a UK or overseas audit regulator.
  • Strong experience responding to regulatory reviews and interacting with regulators.
  • ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification
  • Experience supervising and coaching junior staff.
  • Working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of firm services, regulatory and compliance matters, including anti‑money laundering.
  • Awareness of current economic and market trends affecting the audit profession.
